Our founder established Extensis in 1997 after he saw firsthand how complicated it is to be a small and medium sized business. Making matters even more difficult, none of his HR vendors took time to understand his company—and they didn’t talk to each other.

We hold ourselves to a higher standard. On June 1, 2017, Extensis was named by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as one of the first-ever PEOs to meet the requirements to become a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO), effective January 1, 2017. IRS certification gives our brokers, clients, and vendors confidence that we are one of a select group of PEOs who have met the highest standards set by the U.S. government and the PEO industry’s financial assurance program.

Extensis is also among the five percent of PEOs with an Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) accreditation, the nationally recognized gold standard for PEO reliability and financial assurance. 

Additionally, we are recognized by the Certification Institute for meeting industry professional risk management best practices for creating safe work environments and effectively managing workers' compensation losses. 

Over two decades, Extensis has grown to be one of the largest HR Outsourcing Providers in the U.S. We work exclusively with our insurance broker partners to better understand our clients’ true needs. We have one of the most experienced sales teams in the industry—averaging over 10 years in PEO and HRO sales. They have expertise in HR, tax, workers’ compensation, and benefits. All have achieved Presidents Club standing at regional and national HROs and PEOs.
 
Our HR Specialty Team is made up of passionate professionals who understand how entrepreneurial companies work, and who excel at getting things done in the fast-paced environment of small and medium sized businesses. Readily available to assist with difficult or time-sensitive issues, their specialties include business operations, technology, HR, risk management, compliance, benefits, payroll, activation, and client advocacy.
