WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY.
Our founder established Extensis in 1997 after he saw firsthand how complicated it is to be a small and medium sized business. Making matters even more difficult, none of his HR vendors took time to understand his company—and they didn’t talk to each other.

Extensis was built to solve these issues, offer better HR solutions, and give business owners peace of mind.
  • We begin with the end in mind—we want to build long-term relationships.
  • We personalize a PEO solution for each company.
  • We design simpler technology.
  • We promise to simplify HR.

We hold ourselves to a higher standard. On June 1, 2017, Extensis was named by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as one of the first-ever PEOs to meet the requirements to become a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO), effective January 1, 2017. IRS certification gives our brokers, clients, and vendors confidence that we are one of a select group of PEOs who have met the highest standards set by the U.S. government and the PEO industry’s financial assurance program.

Extensis is also among the five percent of PEOs with an Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) accreditation, the nationally recognized gold standard for PEO reliability and financial assurance.

Additionally, we are recognized by the Certification Institute for meeting industry professional risk management best practices for creating safe work environments and effectively managing workers' compensation losses.

Over nearly two decades, Extensis has grown to be one of the largest PEOs in the U.S. and the fastest growing PEO in the Northeast. We work exclusively with our insurance broker partners to better understand our clients’ true needs. We provide PEO services in all 50 states to entrepreneurial companies with 10 to 125 employees—and internationally through key global partnerships.

WE ARE KEEPING PROMISES.

The people of Extensis enable us to make promises and deliver on them. They embody our company’s core values of responsiveness, passion, and accountability. Their dedication drives our quest to make the complex world of HR simple and help entrepreneurial companies achieve their aspirations.

Our executive team includes experienced executives from inside and outside the PEO industry. They are all accomplished professionals in their respective fields.

We have one of the most experienced sales teams in the industry—averaging over 10 years in PEO sales. They have expertise in HR, tax, workers’ compensation, and benefits. All have achieved Presidents Club standing at regional and national PEOs.

Our HR Specialty Team is made up of passionate professionals who understand how entrepreneurial companies work, and who excel at getting things done in the fast-paced environment of small and medium sized businesses. Readily available to assist with difficult or time-sensitive issues, their specialties include business operations, technology, HR, risk management, compliance, benefits, payroll, activation, and client advocacy.

Personalized day-to-day services—available to worksite employees, managers, and C-level management—are handled by our expert service professionals. Many have been with Extensis for several years.

Our experts built a secure technology platform called HRCloud to simplify HR, payroll, and benefits transactions. It’s designed to give all our users—whether frequent management users or casual employee users—exactly what they need to accomplish their online objectives in the simplest manner.

Our vision is to be the most successful and respected specialty PEO in America.
