Richard Augustyn is the founder and CEO of Extensis Group and has led the company’s rapid growth since its inception.

Under his leadership, Extensis has consistently been one of America’s fastest growing and most innovative PEOs, driven by a passion to simplify HR for small and mid-sized businesses. His early business success landed him a spot among the Forty Under 40, a program that honors young men and woman who have made outstanding contributions to their fields.

Rich is also an accomplished investor, backing talented entrepreneurs who are strong leaders and creative thinkers to help them achieve exceptional results. He currently serves on the boards of several U.S. and Canadian high-growth business service companies.

Dan Sheridan’s career spans leadership roles in sales, management and marketing, including sales force management, training, client satisfaction and retention, and managing top and bottom lines. Applying that expertise to Extensis Group’s aggressive growth objectives, Dan Sheridan spearheads the firm’s ongoing efforts to create an industry best sales organization and insurance broker sales channel.

In his previous role as the company’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Dan focused on media relations and industry growth, as well as promoting the advantages and opportunities PEOs bring to small businesses in the Northeast. As president and CRO, he is also a member of the Extensis Group Management Committee.

With more than a decade of high-profile, executive-level sales, operations and management experience, Dan has been published in Enterprise Magazine, a publication of the New Jersey Society of CPAs. As a subject matter expert on a range of small business matters, Dan has been interviewed by regional and national media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The Star Ledger and NJBIZ. He has also been a guest on News 12 New Jersey’s “It’s Your Money” program, discussing HR outsourcing topics.

Dan received his BA in political science from Dickinson College.

Don Abernathy

Don Abernathy

As CFO and a member of the company’s Management Committee, Don Abernathy ensures that Extensis Group has risk processes and procedures in place to meet enterprise-wide business growth objectives.

Don has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in a diverse group of high-growth public companies. His deep experience in strategic planning and risk management disciplines add to the resources Extensis provides to its clients.

Before joining Extensis, Don served as chief financial officer of the digital direct marketing business at Rapp Collins Worldwide, a subsidiary of Omnicom Group, Inc., the world's largest advertising and public relations company. Prior to Omnicom, Don was president and CEO of Portable Cellular Communications, a subsidiary of publicly traded Nationwide Cellular Services.

Don graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a BBA in accounting and is a certified public accountant.

Anthony

Anthony "T.J." Mignone

Chief Information Officer

A seasoned technology executive and member of the Extensis Group Management Committee, T.J. Mignone has over two decades of experience in building and executing corporate IT roadmaps and a proven track record of delivering successful technology solutions.

Most recently, T.J. served as the chief IT strategist for Ulticom, a leading provider of software and technology solutions for telecommunications and signaling networks. In this role, he spearheaded unified global data analytics initiatives that improved decision-making and resulted in significant cost savings.

Prior to Ulticom, T.J. held senior IT executive roles with Marvel Entertainment, BraveLine Technologies, Housing Development Corporation and the New York City’s Mayor’s Office.

He holds an MS in management of technology from New York University’s Polytechnic Institute, and a BS in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He also attended Columbia University’s executive management program.

Greg Tupe brings 25+ of business and financial acumen years to his role as Extensis Group COO and member of the Management Committee.
 
Prior to joining Extensis, Greg served as chief financial officer for the NIP Group Inc. — one of the largest specialty insurance brokers in the U.S. At NIP, he was a driving force behind the company’s dynamic growth and its emergence in the top ranks of the brokerage industry.

Greg co-led the development of an alternative insurance facility to bring new underwriting capacity to stabilize two large business groups. These risk-bearing vehicles, co-developed by Greg, are now recognized as the industry’s best practice models. Prior to his role at NIP, Greg served as the CFO of Montblanc International and a senior executive at Zale Corporation. Earlier in his career, he held management positions at Deloitte & Touche USA.

Greg graduated from Pace University with a BBA in accounting and is a certified public accountant.

Jean Wiskowski

Jean provides strategic direction for all of the Extensis Group’s marketing functions. She is a creative and results-oriented senior leader with a 20+ year proven track record in driving brand recognition in both small businesses and Fortune 500 accounts. She enjoys championing the intersection between marketing, technology, sales and B2B / B2C customer needs.

Previously, Jean led the marketing organizations for Prudential Group Insurance and Merrill Lynch Asset Management. She has executed marketing strategies and campaigns to increase lead generation, acquire new business, promote consultative services and communicate value propositions. Jean was instrumental in building marketing communications and guiding the sales organization in fostering top-tier relationships in the independent insurance broker referral channel. She also created client-specific communications that increased revenue 32% for 100 key accounts including Silicon Valley technology leaders, major retailers, global financial services firms, and professional services organizations.

Jean spearheaded the implementation of Salesforce and Aprimo (a marketing workflow tool) to improve productivity and quality. Her efforts resulted in a 98+% client satisfaction rating for 6 consecutive years. She holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and volunteers with animal rescue groups.

Jan Kaupas

Vice President of Sales

Jan Kaupas has close to two decades of sales executive leadership experience in the PEO and HR outsourcing industry, with a proven ability to simplify and communicate highly complex products and services to entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Previously a licensed life and health producer, he reinforces Extensis’ "broker-friendly" focus and has been a key player in the development of Extensis' industry-leading sales department.

Jan’s intimate understanding of benefits strategy, HR consulting and sales management has helped solidify the company’s market leadership, and to fuel the continued growth of our clients.

Prior to Extensis, Jan held positions of increasing responsibility at ADP TotalSource, Trinet, HR Logic and Javers Group in sales, leadership and ownership capacities.

He is a member of the PIA, NAHU, New Jersey Tech Council, Bio NJ and the Professionals of PEO Industry group, and is very active in coaching his daughters’ intramural and travel soccer teams. Jan holds a BS in psychology from East Stroudsburg University.

Anissa's career spans over eighteen years in the field of Human Resources, specializing in strategic benefit plan design and administration. She has spent her career working in both the public and private sector where she has held numerous leadership roles with global responsibility for benefits in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Anissa is a subject matter expert in the areas of health and welfare, retirement, absence management and relocation.

Before joining Extensis, Anissa held several corporate benefit roles in complex, multi-site, global organizations with diverse workforces. Most recently, Anissa led the global benefits and mobility function for The Children's Place. She is a proven leader and strategic business partner.

Anissa holds an MS degree in Labor and Employee Relations from Rutgers University and a BS degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from The College of New Jersey.

Jill Moynihan

Industry veteran Jill Moynihan has more than 30 years of experience in HR outsourcing focused on payroll  and tax administration systems, HRIS technologies, database management and reporting and analytics development.

Jill is focused on strategies that help drive service innovations, competitive differentiation, and profitability. With Extensis Group, she has been integral in developing a cost-effective, integrated and configurable technology platform to meet the needs of our discerning clients.

Known for her ability to develop and deploy complex solutions, Jill is a recognized industry expert at developing and implementing cost-effective technology for small and medium-sized businesses.

Before joining Extensis, Jill served in significant leadership and operational roles for Payroll Associates Inc. and ADP, where she was responsible for developing and implementing various payroll and customer service platforms across the country.

Jill received her BA in business management from College of New Jersey.

David Pearson

David Pearson

David Pearson ensures that Extensis Group clients are provided with the latest guidance and best practices in employee relations, compensation planning, staffing, performance management, leave management, training and other HR needs.

David brings over 15 years of experience in the human resource field to Extensis and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). He is a member of multiple SHRM chapters to ensure the most recent policies and standards are provided.

David’s  years of PEO industry experience include a NYC-based position with ADP TotalSource. Over the course of his career, he has also held HR positions with the Target Corporation and Revrac Industries.

David is well versed in the needs of multiple businesses and strategically aligns HR culture and compliance in relation to the company’s needs. He holds a BS in human resource management from Dominican College.

Matthew Ponticelli

Matthew Ponticelli

Vice President of Risk Management

Over 25 years of Risk Management experience, in providing technical guidance and leadership in supporting the implementation of controls to mitigate enterprise wide risk.

Matt has a broad range of property & casualty (“P&C”) insurance knowledge, with particular specialties in foreign, domestic and federal workers’ compensation, employment practices liability coverage and general liability coverage/programs.  He possess subject matter experience with insurance claims, contracts, litigation, leave of absence management, workplace safety and OSHA management.

Previously, he served as Risk Manager for RailWorks Corporation, a public corporation established to furnish the rail industry with construction, maintenance and materials solutions. In this position, Matt was responsible for all P&C exposures and the implementation of controls to mitigate risk.

Earlier in his career, Matt served as Risk Manager for L.K. Comstock & Company, Inc., and held senior claims positions with AIG and The Travelers Company. He has chaired Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) committees and authored several manuals for RIMS publications.

A current NAPEO/Certificate Institute contributor and speaker, Matt earned his BA from the State University of New York at Cortland in Sociology with a Public Administration minor.

Walter Lui

Walter joined Extensis in July, 2014 and currently serves as Senior Director of Payroll Services. His responsibilities include managing the entire client payroll process operations, and assure the quality of payroll services and organizational success. With more than 8 years of payroll services operations experience in the PEO industry, Walter is a payroll services leader that focus on team collaboration and utilizes best practices and technologies to increase client retention, and achieve payroll efficiencies and employee engagement.

Prior to joining Extensis, Walter served as the Director, Payroll Services for TriNet Ambrose. He played a key role with integrating payroll processes across multiple payroll platforms. Prior to TriNet, Walter served as the Director of Payroll Services for Ambrose Employer Group, LLC for over 6 years. He has successfully implemented and introduced new payroll service offerings to clients.

Walter graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and earned his Certified Payroll Professional designation in 2009.

Pat Chester

Pat Chester oversees the Extensis Group’s new client activation team, and is responsible for the development, quality and overall effectiveness of our onboarding services. His role includes hiring and training the industry’s best talent to ensure seamless transitions for our clients.

Since joining Extensis, Pat has helped grow the activation team into what it is today. He joined Extensis with almost 14 years of implementation experience. With roles ranging from inputting payroll to management roles in which he led teams through change initiatives, Pat’s experience helps him identify challenges and create solutions to ensure success.

Pat has helped redefine the Extensis activation service model, using his past experiences and ability to identify what new clients need for a successful partnership.

Pat is a proud Rutgers University alumnus with a BA in history.

George O’Rourke

George O’Rourke

Director of Sales

George has nearly 30 years of sales experience, 15 years being in sales and leadership in the PEO-industry. Prior to joining Extensis, his previous roles included Director of Sales for ADP TotalSource and Regional Sales Manager for EPIX. He has held life/health licenses along with a series 6 and 63 along with being awarded numerous President's Club awards. His reasons for joining a PEO were that working in the PEO industry allowed him to provide business owners with ways to either reduce costs or run their businesses more efficiently in ways they may never have been aware of before. What makes him most proud about working at Extensis are the people and the company's vision. He believes this is what truly sets Extensis apart. Large, publically-traded PEOs, many times, must focus on themselves and how they are perceived by Wall Street instead of being focused on the client’s needs. Extensis enables him to focus on his clients and provide the service and attention they need. George earned a BS in Business Administration from Rowan University. George O’Rourke has been a promise keeper since 2009.

Laura Risman

Laura Risman brings more than 15 years of Benefits Management and Human Resources experience to her role at Extensis Group. She is an established subject matter expert in the areas of employee benefits, employee relations, leadership development and talent retention. Laura leads the company’s benefit program design and negotiation efforts to ensure the wide selection of programs Extensis offers are truly innovative and highly competitive. Having worked with countless small businesses during her professional career, Laura is uniquely qualified to create benefits solutions that are closely tied to the business objectives of Extensis’ clients. Before joining Extensis, Laura held multiple corporate positions of expanding responsibility for Gap Inc., most recently as the company’s Northeast Zone HR manager for its Old Navy division.

Laura holds an MS in Human Resource Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and is an active member of the Staten Island Giving Circle (statenislandgivingcircle.com). Laura is also a ceramic artist currently studying at the New York/New Jersey Ceramics Academy.
