Richard Augustyn is the founder and CEO of Extensis Group and has led the company’s rapid growth since its inception.

Under his leadership, Extensis has consistently been one of America’s fastest growing and most innovative PEOs, driven by a passion to simplify HR for small and mid-sized businesses. His early business success landed him a spot among the Forty Under 40, a program that honors young men and woman who have made outstanding contributions to their fields.

Rich is also an accomplished investor, backing talented entrepreneurs who are strong leaders and creative thinkers to help them achieve exceptional results. He currently serves on the boards of several U.S. and Canadian high-growth business service companies.

Dan Sheridan’s career spans leadership roles in sales, management and marketing, including sales force management, training, client satisfaction and retention, and managing top and bottom lines. Applying that expertise to Extensis Group’s aggressive growth objectives, Dan Sheridan spearheads the firm’s ongoing efforts to create an industry best sales organization and insurance broker sales channel.

In his previous role as the company’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Dan focused on media relations and industry growth, as well as promoting the advantages and opportunities PEOs bring to small businesses in the Northeast. As president and CRO, he is also a member of the Extensis Group Management Committee.

With more than a decade of high-profile, executive-level sales, operations and management experience, Dan has been published in Enterprise Magazine, a publication of the New Jersey Society of CPAs. As a subject matter expert on a range of small business matters, Dan has been interviewed by regional and national media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The Star Ledger and NJBIZ. He has also been a guest on News 12 New Jersey’s “It’s Your Money” program, discussing HR outsourcing topics.

Dan received his BA in political science from Dickinson College.
Joe Catapano

Joe has experience designing and building front-end technologies including websites, apps, payroll applications, and HRIS systems. Joe earned his BS in Computer Science from Wagner College in New York City. Since joining Extensis Group, he has been involved with the updating, improvement, and development of many of the company’s client-facing products. Joe is an avid international traveler and speaks conversational Japanese.
Anissa Kurtz

Anissa’s career spans over twenty years of experience in the field of Human Resources, specializing in strategic benefit plan design and administration.  She has spent her career to date working in both the public and private sector where she has held numerous leadership roles with global responsibility for benefits in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.  Anissa is a subject matter expert in the areas of health and welfare, retirement, absence management and relocation. 
 
Before joining Extensis, Anissa held several corporate benefit roles in complex, multi-site, global organizations with a diverse workforce. Prior to Extensis, Anissa led the global benefits and mobility function for The Children’s Place.  She is a proven leader and strategic business partner. 
 
Anissa holds an MS degree in Labor and Employee Relations from Rutgers University and a BS degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from The College of New Jersey.

Greg Tupe brings 25+ of business and financial acumen years to his role as Senior Vice President of Operations and member of the Management Committee.
 
Prior to joining Extensis, Greg served as chief financial officer for the NIP Group Inc. — one of the largest specialty insurance brokers in the U.S. At NIP, he was a driving force behind the company’s dynamic growth and its emergence in the top ranks of the brokerage industry.

Greg co-led the development of an alternative insurance facility to bring new underwriting capacity to stabilize two large business groups. These risk-bearing vehicles, co-developed by Greg, are now recognized as the industry’s best practice models. Prior to his role at NIP, Greg served as the CFO of Montblanc International and a senior executive at Zale Corporation. Earlier in his career, he held management positions at Deloitte & Touche USA.

Greg graduated from Pace University with a BBA in accounting and is a certified public accountant.
Jan Kaupas

Jan has 22 years of sales executive leadership experience in the PEO and HR outsourcing industry. With a proven ability to simplify and communicate highly-complex products and services to entrepreneurs and business leaders, Jan’s intimate understanding of benefits strategy, HR consulting and sales management has helped solidify the company’s market leadership and fuel the continued growth of clients. 

Previously a licensed life and health producer, Jan has also held positions of sales, leadership and ownership capacities for ADP TotalSource, TriNet, HR Logic and Javers Group. Jan reinforces the Extensis "broker-friendly" focus and has been a key player in the development of Extensis' industry-leading sales department. 

He is a dedicated results-driven leader with a proved track record of building top performance sales teams. He is responsible for top-line sales revenue growth, channel management, talent management, retention and training. 

In addition, Jan is a member of the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), the New Jersey Tech Council, BioNJ, and the Professionals of PEO Industry group. Jan holds a BS in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University.
Blake Morris

Blake Morris has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in a diverse group of public and private companies. His deep experience in strategic planning, accounting and finance supports Extensis’ financial commitments to its clients. He is responsible for all aspects of Extensis’ financial organization, including the execution and safeguarding of client payrolls and related tax filings.
 
Before joining Extensis, Blake served as treasurer of TRAC Intermodal, the largest intermodal equipment provider in North America.  Prior to TRAC, Blake held CFO, VP FP&A, Controller and COO roles in the following industries: consumer products, business products and services, technology, media, digital publishing, hospitality and transportation. Blake started his career at Ernst & Young in accounting and tax.
 
Blake graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in accounting and finance, and is a certified public accountant.
 
David Pearson

David is responsible for overall people programs and HR strategy within the organization. His core focus is on employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, talent management, total rewards and compliance. This focus increases human capital satisfaction and creates greater client fulfillment.

David has over 20+ years of HR and client relationship management experience in both private and public sectors. He specialized in client relations acting as an adviser, subject matter expert, and creative solutions oriented problem solver. David has held positions as a managing partner, small business owner, project manager, and numerous progressing HR positions spanning his career.

David has worked within the PEO industry for well over a decade. He holds a BS in HR Management from Dominican College of Blauvelt, NY. He is also a member of numerous HR chapters, has spoken at DisruptHR-LongIsland, and is certified with both his PHR & SHRM-CP. His friendly approach as a
progressive thought leader in conjunction with his professional demeanor make him a great advocate for the organizations employees and leadership team.
Richard Schmidt

Richard's career has included work in the financial services, management consulting, and pharmaceutical industries. He has over a decade of experience managing IT/business relationships and providing IT services in the areas of Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and Finance. This experience positions Richard well to lead Extensis’ Service Operations department as Senior Vice President. Richard has responsibility for the client-facing areas of the firm, including Payroll, Human Resources, Activation, Benefits Operations, and the Employee Service Center. He also manages the Project Management team which leads strategic projects throughout the firm.

Richard has served in various roles throughout his career, including head of customer service, developer, database administrator, systems manager, project manager, and technology director. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has held that accreditation since 2001.

In his spare time, Richard enjoys working out and has completed multiple Spartan races. He also enjoys traveling, although his go-to vacation spot is the Jersey shore.

Richard received his BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University and is a proud Horned Frog.
